    Project Gutenberg is a library of over 60,000 FREE ebooks! Choose among free epub and Kindle eBooks, download them or read them online. These books I would personally recommend for older children.

    Homeschool pop

    Homeschool Pop offers a variety of YouTube videos covering subjects that are meant for both homeschoolers and traditional classroom settings.  They cover science, history, social studies, animals, math, reading, and much more.  Ideal for preschoolers and primary school students.

    Crash course kids

    This is an add on from the Youtube channel, Crash course creators, this channel has animated video’s about engineering, Earth science, Life science, Physical science and Space science.

    Ambleside online

    Ambleside Online is a free homeschool curriculum that uses Charlotte Mason’s classically-based principles to prepare children for a life of rich relationships with everything around them: God, humanity, and the natural world.



    From ages 4+. Artventure online art lessons are linked to primary-level curriculum areas including English, Mathematics and Science – in addition to Visual Arts. Their video classes are perfect for last-minute lessons and your child can complete the lessons independently.

    Art for kids hub

    This platform offers video’s on How to draw for kids, Painting for kids, Origami for kids and more. Hosted by the Hubs family there is plenty for your kids to choose from not matter what their skill level.


    Sumdog provides engaging learning and practice in numeracy for children aged 5-14, and literacy for children aged 5-11.

    It adapts to each individual, using engaging game-based learning to motivate and build confidence.

    You’ll find videos, guided discussions, problem solving activities – and more – specifically tailored for primary and secondary school aged children.

    Maddie Moate

    Maddie Moate is an EduTuber and BAFTA-winning presenter, passionate about curiosity. She is the host of the BAFTA-nominated CBeebies TV series “Maddie’s Do You Know?”, BBC Earth’s “Earth Unplugged” and Fully Charged’s latest series ‘Maddie Goes Electric’. Maddie is one of the few family-focused “Edu-tubers” in the UK and has been creating educational science videos since 2013, amassing 50+ million views on her own channel and hundreds of millions across others.

    Dance Mat Typing is structured as a series of four levels with three stages for each level.     Upon landing on this platform, it doesn’t give you any ques as to how to start. If you click on the ? button, it explains that you have to put the dates/events in chronological order. I would say it would be for older children. (I tried giving it a go myself and I was awful! lol!) Oh and it is FREE!

    Hillsdale college

    Hillsdale’s free online courses feature lectures from top Hillsdale College professors. The lecture videos are supported by quizzes, readings, supplementary videos, study guides, and discussion boards.

    These not-for-credit courses are self-paced so that our online course students can pursue their education at their own leisure.

    At Guitar Trick, they make learning how to play guitar a lot of fun! The instructors cover each section of a song slowly at first, and once you get each part down you get to play along with a professional backing band. For difficult songs they offer a ‘Songs Made Easy’ version for beginners, which is simplified to the basic chords and one guitar part. Each song includes accurate guitar tabs as well as standard music notation. Try it for free. The site gets you to create an account but does not show prices.

    Raise a monster pet, then feed your musical monster to help them grow. Take care of a collection of fun monster characters in this free musical game for the whole family! (Make sure you put on parental lock, as our little one spent £60 on new monsters with this app!) It is a good one for learning music though.

    I love this site, no it isn’t the best of quality but it is brilliant for Geography! It is a free website and there is plenty to do, from world games, Europe, Flags, Countries, Capitals, continents, Oceans, atmosphere’s and so much more!


    Test your knowledge on practically anything! This website is full of quizzes, from Science, plants, sports, Animals, Computers, Math and much more…….For FREE!


    Seterra is a free online app.

    Learning geography doesn’t have to be boring. Do it the easy way with Seterra! In no time, you could learn to locate every single country in the world on a map.

    Seterra includes fun quizzes that help familiarize you with countries, capital cities, flags, rivers, lakes, and notable geological features.

    Seterra provides an array of free printable learning aids that you can use in the classroom. Included in each set of printable learning aids is a labelled version of a map that will help students with memorization, plus there’s also a format with a blank map and answer sheet that’s great for quizzes 


    Jetpunk is a free online quiz platform mainly focused around America, but there are more country quizzes available. You can also practice fast typing on this platform.

Also along with interactive revision, case studies and quizzes. It is also FREE.
